FAQ
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our products, processing techniques and our service.
Which materials do we process?
In our workshop we create unique pieces for you from wood, leather, plastic and acrylic.
But glass and metal are also processed.
Which shapes can be edited?
Thin materials
With the integrated flat slats, thin materials from 0.1mm to 72mm in size 600mmx300mm can be cut and/or engraved.
Thick materials
The “Riser Base” offers a lot of freedom in terms of processing height. With this substructure, ultra-thick materials up to 215mm can be engraved.
Long materials
The automatic pass serves as a workbench extension for the XTool P2 laser cutter. Plates up to 1500mm long and 600mm wide can be cut and/or engraved.
Round materials
The rotation extension of XTool enables laser processing of round parts with the highest precision. 4 different clamping systems in one, covering almost all types of mounting for a variety of products.
Arched materials
The processing software is able to measure curved surfaces and take them into account in the process. This ensures uniform engraving results to produce a perfect lasered image.
What technology do we use to process the materials?
When processing leather, plastic, wood & acrylic: cutting and engraving
CO2 lasers are ideal for engraving and cutting the above materials. They allow for precise and detailed designs as well as clean cuts without fraying the edges.
Glass is processed exclusively engraved.
CO2 lasers cannot cut glass, but they can engrave or mark it. By applying heat, the laser creates a surface mark or engraving on the glass.
Likewise when processing metal: 55W CO2 lasers cannot cut metal, but they can engrave or mark it. By applying heat, the laser creates a surface mark or engraving on the metal.
What is CO2 lasering?
Cutting and engraving with a 55W CO2 laser is a process that uses a high-intensity laser beam passed through a system of mirrors and lenses to cut or mark materials. Cutting involves focusing the laser beam to cut through the material by melting, vaporizing, or burning it. When engraving, the surface of the material is removed by the laser beam to create images, text or patterns. CO2 lasers are widely used due to their versatility in processing various materials such as wood, plastic, glass, leather and more, providing precision and efficiency in producing various products and designs.
Laser cutter XTool P2
The XTool P2 is a state-of-the-art laser cutter known for its precision and versatility. Using a powerful laser source, it enables precise cuts and engravings on a variety of materials such as wood, acrylic, leather and even metal.
With these accessories, the XTool P2 can maximize its performance and offer a wide range of applications in various fields such as crafts, prototyping, advertising and education.
